Sports Minister Talks By Heart GFA Executive Member

Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Member and Greater Accra Regional Football Association Chairman, Nii Komotey Doku, has taken a swipe at the Youth and Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, over his decision not to pay bonuses to Black Stars Management Committee members unless they have offered a justification for such demands.

The Sports Minister, in his bid to cut the Black Stars’ budget, has decided to only part with the payment until proper justification was given.

But Speaking to Class Sports, Mr Doku said the Minister talks loosely.

“When we reach the bridge we will cross…I don’t understand what the Minister is saying that they are not paying us anything…I don’t understand, but when it gets to a time, we will see what we will do. Most of these politicians, when they come they talk by heart; they just want to make news …they talk by heart. If we must engage him, we will do that,” he stated.

Talking about sponsorship for the Ghana Premier League, Mr Doku noted that bringing sponsors on board had not been easy, but things could change in a fortnight.

“We are still working on it. There isn’t a headway yet, but I can assure you that within the next two weeks, God being behind us, something good will come out. It has not been easy at all,” he added.
