Police Boss Leads Prayer For Peaceful Polls (Watch)

Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, COP George Akuffu Dampare, on Monday May 2, led thousands to pray for peace in the upcoming November polls at Citi FM’s Family Consecration Service held at Winners’ Chapel in Accra. The service was officiated by a team of pastors led by Citi FM’s resident pastor, Reverend Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam. COP Dampare, one of the many participants, also took time lead a prayer session to commit the security of the nation into the hands of God.

Addressing the congregation, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander assured Ghanaians there would be peace before, during and after the elections whilst urging Christians to remain upright in the sight of God. “Ghana our beloved country will be more peaceful than we find it today after the elections so relax. All you have to do is encourage each other to stay focused and do what is right in the sight of God and God will take care of the rest,” he stated.

He also charged Christians to commit the stakeholders of the electioneering process into the hands of God.“As we pray, I want you to pray for every stakeholder who is involved in this election process one way or the other and ask the Holy Spirit to take charge.” The theme for this annual service which gives cherished listeners of Citi FM a platform to re-dedicate themselves and their families to God was “You are next in line.”
