Squad To Face England Named

Sellas Tetteh has named the same side that won Ghanas opening game at the Fifa Under-20 World Cup for tonights meeting against England in Ismaila. Ghana took all three points in that opening game against Uzbekistan and Tetteh has kept faith with the men who achieved that result ahead of the game that is drawing huge attention in Ghana. One Ghanaian newspaper led on Tuesday with the headline Old Masters In Trouble..Satellites to teach England lesson. This evenings U-20 match-up between Ghana and England in Ismaila may not be newsworthy in England but it is a big deal in Ghana. The Black Satellites go into the game confident that they can find the three points to secure their passage into the knockout stages of the competition while England must get a result to get back right in contention after their opening day loss to Uruguay. On the evidence of that opening day game, Ghana look a more complete unit with more experienced players at this level. Five members of the Ghana have played for the Black Stars at least once before while the English struggled to get the best of their youth players to Egypt with many clubs unwilling to play ball. But Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh is taking no chances. Even if England came here without their best players, we know we cant assume anything before the match, he said. Speaking to PEACEFM News from Ismailia, Egypt, Anim Addo of PEACEFM's Sports Desk disclosed that Coach Sellas Tetteh will stick to the same starting line-up that beat Uzbekistan with the team determined to repeat the 2-1 scoreline over England at the semi-final stage of the same competition in 1993. He added that the Black Satellites will this evening don their white jersey whiles their counterparts from England will be in red. Kick-off is at 7:30pm. Ghana's Team Sheet: Daniel Adjei, Samuel Inkoom, David Addy, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Addo, Rabiu Mohammed, Agyemang Badu, Opoku Agyemang, Dede Ayew, Dominic Adiyah, Ransford Osei.
