Boateng To Play For Ghana

Kevin-Prince Boateng is close to completing his switch from Germany to Ghana after a series of fine performances for Portsmouth in the English Premiership. The ex-German youth international has been one of the few bright spots in a poor Portsmouth side with his energy, dribbling skills and ability to play behind the main striker and on the wings all evident even in his sides record seven straight defeats. Now sources at the Ghana Football Association have told KickOffGhana.com they have gone very far with him about formalising his switch from an ex-German youth international to becoming a regular Ghana international. Born in Germany to a Ghanaian father and German mother, Boateng looks like one of the best bets for a place in Milovan Rajevacs squad for the 2010 World Cup, even at this early stage of preparations. Boateng turned down the chance to play for the Black Stars at the 2006 World Cup and has been honest to admit he is turning back to Ghana because the Germans did not look interested in him at the senior level.
