National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary and Assembly member for Assin Ochiso has appealed to government to reinstate the contractor for constructing the roads at the vicinity.

According to the NDC Constituency Secretary, Dawood Aboagye Dabzi, the roads at Assin Manso, Tabil and Ochiso have since last two years been abandoned by the contractor.

He told Peace FM's Correspondent Oscar Adawu Dadzie that the contractor has earlier been doing a good job on the road.

The contractor, he noted, had commenced work on the roads but all of a sudden left the area and has since not returned to complete the roads.

"It's very disturbing. We saw, over the few years, that a contractor had come to construct the road from Manso to Tabil...He did the work to a level where he had to put coal tar on the road and he would complete. All of a sudden, what we saw is he had abandoned it and for two years now, the contractor has not returned," he said in an interview with Peace FM's Correspondent.

The roads are reported to be in a deplorable state, making movement difficult for the residents and vehicle drivers.

Mr. Aboagye Dabzi is appealing through the District Chief Executive of the area Hon. Anomafo to bring back the contractor to complete the road construction.
