A middle aged woman is fighting for her life after a swarm of marauding bees attacked her at Airport Residential Area in Accra.

The woman, according to reports, was attacked when the suspected hungry bees let loose on residents indiscriminately at the Asuma Banda mosque near Nyaho Clinic.

An eyewitness who spoke to Adom News said but for the intervention of some benevolent passerby who sprayed the bees to disperse them, the woman would have died on the spot.

The residents have either fled indoors or abandoned the area to avoid being attacked by the bees.

The woman, he said was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment "but i won't be surprised if she doesn't survive" he added.
