I Will Participate In Active Politics Until. . . - Chief Defies Constitution (AUDIO)

Chief of Mehame in the Asutifi South District of the Brong Ahafo Region,  Nana Owusu Kontor has vouched for Local Government Minister Collins Dauda.

Nana Owusu Kontor says he will participate in active politics and campaign for Hon. Collins Dauda until the latter retires from politics.

The Chief made these comments after noting down the achievements of the Minister at his vicinity.

According to Peace FM's Brong Ahafo Correspondent Joe Pawa, the Chief noted that Hon. Dauda has contributed immensely to the development of Asutifi South and so quoted him as saying that "no matter what the 1992 constitution says about Chiefs and politics, he (Collins Dauda) has done a lot for Mehame and he is my brother as well. I support him 100 percent without fear."

"I will always campaign for the Local Government Minister..." Nana Owusu Kontor disclosed to Joe Pawa during an interview.

The Chief was addressing a delegation from the Community and Water Sanitation Agency led by Chief of Bongo Nana Bonaba Baba Salifu, when they called on him to inspect an ongoing project at Mahame.

"God created Dauda for us...If the man had not originated from this place, we would have lost a lot. He has kind heart. Let's put aside partisan politics. The roof of my house was ripped off but he fixed it. Why won't I vote for such a person...I will follow him till I die," the Chief said.
