I Was Iinitally Disappointed I Didn't Get BET Award Nomination E.L

Musician E.L has revealed that he was initially disappointed that he didn’t get a nomination at the 2016 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.

He told Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) on Route919 on Live FM Friday Afternoon he is not worried though because his team has a plan.

“Initially… Once you win Artiste of the Year, people…Its all eyes on you. I’m just trying as much as possible to keep calm because you have people coming at you from all angles about different things.”

The ‘Koko’ hitmaker’s snub comes as a surprise because in recent years ‘Artiste of the Year’ winners usually get nominated in the ‘Best International Act Africa’ category at the BET Awards.

E.L believes, however, that MzVee will represent Ghana well at the International Awards scheme. “MzVee is going to represent Ghana as heavily as she can.”

The ‘Natural Girl’ artiste will be competing against South Africans AKA, Cassper Nyovest and Black Coffee, Nigerians Wizkid and Yemi Alade, Tanzanian Diamond Platinumz and Ivorian Serge Beynaud.

The 2016 BET Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater In Los Angeles, United States of America on Sunday, June 26.
