Obama Hugs Hiroshima SurvivorBut No Apology

President Barack Obama did not apologize today during a stop at Hiroshima for the bomb that killed 140,000 residents of the Japanese town on August 6, 1945 while declaring that the world has a 'shared responsibility' to review history and 'curb such suffering again.'

'Why do we come to this place, to Hiroshima?' he asked. 'We come to ponder a terrible force unleashed in the not so distant past. we come to mourn the dead.'
