Prez Mahama Tells Graduates To Add Value To Themselves

President John Dramani Mahama says it is meaningful for the unemployed teeming graduates in the country to become entrepreneurs instead of waiting on government to absorb them into the public sector. He said its is preferable to add value to their certificates by thinking outside the box in that respect which will improve their lots in life. 

Mr. Mahama said the public sector space cannot absorb all the graduates the country have produced, although government is relentless in efforts to creating jobs for the youth. President Mahama, also advised the graduands to eschew self-doubt, persevere and be innovative as they step out. 

Meanwhile, the President has assured granting charter to All Nations University which is currently affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) to enable it award degrees on its own. Mahama was speaking at the 17th graduation ceremony of the All Nations University in Koforidua Saturday. In a keynote address, a Senior Advisor to the Japanese Research group on Conflict Mitigation in the Middle East, Dr Norman Cook, reminded the graduands, of the stark reality that there are no ready jobs of them, urging them to improve upon their skills and become a master in their fields of trade.

Three hundred and fifty four students graduated with degree in Allied Health Science, Business, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Engineering, Entrepreneurship among others.
