JUSSAG Calls Off Strike

The Judicial Service Staff Association (JUSSAG) has called off its strike action effective today, June 1, 2016.

The move is to allow the Presidential Committee to begin deliberations.

The members of JUSSAG have been on strike for the past two weeks over what they say is government’s failure to implement the consolidation of salaries and allowances for its members, more than a year after their request was forwarded to government.

Addressing the media in Accra Wednesday, President of JUSSAG, Alex Nartey stated that the National Executive Committee of the Association, has concluded on a framework with government and management in addressing their demands.

Their strike action adversely affected the delivery of justice; the news of their calling off the strike is expected to excite many justice seekers who can now have their day in court.
