Gomoa Central MP Distributes Math Sets To BECE Candidates In Her Constituency (PHOTOS)

NDC Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Rachel Nana Adwoa Appoh Opoku is distributing over 2,000 mathematical sets and other educational materials to 3,933 Junior High School students who will be writing their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this month.

According to her the exercise is in support of the students who might in one way or the other lack the necessary tools to assist them in delivering their best during this important stage in their life.

The exercise which started on Tuesday, 31st May have so far covered over twenty(20) schools in the constituency.

Other materials being distrubuted include: pens, pencils, erasers and rulers. 

Some of the schools so far covered are: Gomoa Aboso Da JHS, Gomoa Gyamang JHS, Gomoa Obuasi Presby JHS, Gomoa Akropong SDA JHS, Gomoa Ekwamkrom Methodist JHS, Ekroful Middle A JHS, Afransi DA JHS among others.

In her advice to the candidates, she urged them to start thinking about their future now and refrain from all kinds of social vices to ensure they have a bright future.

She asked them not to waste their fruitful time during this examination period on unnecessary works that will make the toil of their parents and guardians be in vain.

The former Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection also adviced the female students not to rush in life and allow themselves to be swayed by men in exchange of gifts, but should rather take their studies very serious and focus on their aim.

She said since teenage pregnancy is high in the constituency they should desist from any immoral acts and advances in other not to cut their dreams short.
