A group of machete wielding thugs from Accra Newtown have attacked teachers of St. John’s Basic School for subjecting a primary 5 pupil to massive beatings.

According to reports,  the student, [name withheld] walked out of her class when she was canned by her English teacher only to return with her relatives in a revenge attack.

Adomonline’s Gershon Mortey who was at the scene said, the angry youth charged on the teachers after attempts to get the female teacher who canned their sister proved futile.

Some of the youth who stormed the classrooms was said to have assaulted both teacher and pupils in the school.

One teacher who narrated her ordeal to Adomonline.com said, she was nearly brutalized by the men who were wielding machete.

An eye witness who spoke to Adom News’ Shine Acquah said “ I was there when I saw some machete wielding youth storm the classrooms and started beating teachers and pupils”.
