Cost of Akpeteshie Too Expensive Under Mahama

A group calling itself Akpeteshie Sellers and Drinker Association at Sefwi in the Western region are blaming President Mahama for the high cost of the hard liquor.

According to them, they are unable to meet the demand of customers due to the high of alcohol under the Mahama led- administration.

This, they claim is gradually collapsing their business which is their only source of livelihood to cater for their family.

One dealer who spoke to Adom News said “Akpeteshie has become very expensive. Initially a bottle was 30 pesewas and I can assure you that you will get satisfied after drinking that bottle but now it has become very expensive to the extent that you can longer take 5 cedis or even 10 cedis.

“It is no longer profitable and we can no longer take care of our family so we want President Mahama to reduce the price for us so that we can enjoy like we use to".

“We are gradually losing our customers  and so President Mahama should immediately do something about it because we all voted for a president who will make sure that our economy is stable but not a president who will collapse our business” he said.
