NDC Has The Most Original Ideas Among The Various Political Parties- Prez Mahama

President John Mahama has said the NDC will not allow the fear of plagiarism by other parties, stop them from launching their manifesto for the 2016 elections.

According to him, the NDC will go ahead and put out their development plans for the nation, adding others are free to copy.

The President's comments come after the NPP has insisted it will not launch its manifesto ahead of the ruling party, claiming the NDC is fond of copying and embellishing their ideas and presenting them to the Ghanaian people as theirs.

But speaking to members of the NDC at the party’s 24th anniversary commemoration in Accra, Mr. Mahama said there is no doubt that the NDC has the most original ideas among the various political parties in the country.

“We as a party are not going to say we won’t launch our manifesto because we are afraid someone is going to copy it. Our ideas are original and we will launch our manifesto and if anybody wants they can copy them.

“Our manifesto which contains a detailed blueprint will soon be launched and we will take the opportunity to engage Ghanaians in a conversation around the manifesto to foster understanding and insight into exactly what we have to offer them.

“Our campaign will be based on the issues that matter most to our people. Neither shall we make unwarranted attacks in critical state institutions like the Electoral Commission,” he stated.
