First Atlantic Bank Donates To Tema General Hospital

First Atlantic Bank has donated a Digital Ultrasound Imaging System to the Tema General Hospital.

The donation, which forms part of the bank’s numerous corporate social responsibility activities, was to climax the bank’s recently held “Customer Appreciation Week”; a bank wide program aimed at celebrating its valued customers.

The Digital Ultrasound Imaging System was received by the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Kwabena Opoku Adusei.

He expressed gratitude to the bank for the kind gesture, and commended the bank for its support for the hospital over the years. He mentioned the hospital’s dire need for modern equipment to support efficient health delivery, and assured the bank of putting the device to good use.

The Digital Ultrasound Imaging System is a device used for medical ultrasound (also known as diagnostic sonography or ultrasonography), which is a diagnostic imaging technique based on the application of ultrasound, used to see internal body structures such as tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs.

Presenting the device on behalf of the bank, Mr. Ebow Quayson, Group Head of Retail Banking of First Atlantic Bank, commended the hospital for quality health delivery, and reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting the health sector.

He mentioned that the Customer Appreciation Week celebration had been highly successful, citing the various activities which marked the week - including a health screening exercise which saw participation from over a thousand customers across the branches; an “Ex-Co Meeter Greeter” session (where the Executive Committee of the bank were in the banking halls  to receive and assist customers; “a lucky dip” with exciting prizes for the customers;  a “ refreshing thirstday” (an interactive session with customers  which involved the customers being served fresh fruit juice and cakes in the banking halls; and finally the donation to Tema General Hospital.

Also in attendance at the presentation were Mr. Boakye Agyei-Twum and Mr. Harrison Asigbetse of the Tema Harbour Branch and the Tema Community One Branch of the bank respectively.
