Union Savings and Loans is currently intensifying its SME clinic program by organising Executive Networking platform to preparing Ghanaian entrepreneurs to approach business as collaborators and not competitors.

The idea is to develop businesses that can survive beyond one generation and to create business opportunities that would allow business people to relate to each other.

Head of Buisiness at the Union Savings and Loans, Mr. Dominic Donkoh tells Peacefmonline.com in an interview that Union, through their SME clinics, has nurtured entrepreneurs on Risk Management, Taxations and Book Keeping that supports business making decisions for long term success.

The sole aim of the executive platform, which is part of Unions’ flagship progmam is to create game changing synergies.

To come about this change, the use of social media has become one tool that is driving the agenda of engagement between corporate entities.

According to Mr. Donkoh, staff of Union use social media as a platform to provide updates on development within the institution and have also developed it as a platform for prospective customers to reach them on inquiries.

“We share our SME programmes about the economy on the various social media platforms to provide structured information and educational materials to the general public”, he added.

Through the use of social media, Mr. Donkoh adds that Union Savings and Loans has been able to attract new customers and created loyalty.

“Both customers and non customers visit our website to read on the latest materials on the economy, banking, interest rate and other insightful topics”, he said.
