I'm Still Waiting For Allotey Jacobs - Hopeson Adorye

NPP’s Hopeson Adorye says he is ready to face Allotey Jacobs in court after a rumoured defamation suit by the Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Allotey Jacobs has sued Hopeson Adorye weeks after the NPP member spearheaded a rumor on social media alleging that Alottey Jacobs has been arrested for carrying a huge sum of money.

Other reports said the NDC bigwig who was abroad for a business transaction was escorted from the plane and interrogated when his flight arrived at Heathrow Airport upon a tip-off that he was carrying ‘too much money’.

It was also alleged that Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Victor Smith dispatched officials of the High Commission to help Chairman Allotey.

But Allotey Jacobs strongly denied his arrest and guaranteed to deal cruelly with Hopeson Adorye when he returns back home to Ghana.

However, Hopeson Adorye rubbished Allotey’s threat describing it as empty and insisted that Allotey Jacobs was momentarily arrested and questioned over a case of money laundering while boarding a flight to the UK.

Upon his return from the United States the NPP communication team member is yet to receive a writ from Mr Allotey Jacobs.

“I have not received anything from him or his lawyers. But I am ready to face him. We will not settle this matter outside court, I will reveal more information when we get to court. Allotey has defamed me as well so I am ready for him. He can go to court. I will be there,” he said in an interview on Neat FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie'
