Klottey Korle NDC Executives Smoke Peace Pipe

The Klottey Korley National Democratic Congress(NDC) constituency executives, have smoked the peace pipe and resolved to bury their differences to end the factional clashes to promote peace and development in the party.

They have agreed to end the so called “Ashietey and Zanetor” factions, which have brought disunity among the supporters to promote development in the constituency.

Alhaji Bashiru Nii Narh Alema, Constituency Chairman, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at a reconciliation meeting on Thursday with all the executives, appealed to both the Member of Parliament, Nii Armah Ashietey and Dr Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings not to engage in any provocative acts that would divide the supporters.

He reminded the factions that the unity that been achieved must provide an opportunity for those who were divided as a result of the primaries to return.

Alhaji Alema expressed the hope that friendly interactions and the elimination of acrimony and squabbles among the supporters have ended to pave way for a serious campaign to retain the seat.

He urged the constituency executives to ensure that the spirit of togetherness exist among them at all times.

Mr Justice Amalai Tetteh, Constituency Treasurer, urged the executives and the supporters to preach peace since that is the only way to make positive impact instead of wasting their time on unproductive ventures.

He advised the foot soldiers not to undermine each other but to do all they could to ensure that NDC wins power in the November 7 polls.

He warned against activities that are becoming detrimental to the progress of the party in the constituency.

Mr Tetteh called on the foot soldiers that are getting discouraged to stand firm until the final determination of the court case between Dr Zanetor and Mr Nii Armah Ashietey.
