Host of a political talk show on Muntie FM, a pro-NDC radio station based in Accra, Salifu Maase has been served with a subpoena by the Supreme Court.

The host, Salifu Maase, popularly called Mugabe has been summoned by the Highest Court of the land to appear before the court together with the Second Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and owner of the radio station, Harry Zakour.

The Chief Justice Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood announced the summon, Tuesday during hearing on the controversial voter's register case brought before the court by PNC's Abu Ramadan.

A certain Richard Asante Yeboah, filed an ex parte application for committal for contempt against Mugabe and other two persons named Godwin Ako Gunn and Alistair Tairo Nelson, both National Democratic Congress (NDC) activists.

The three are reported to have threatened to kill Judges if they don't allow the Electoral Commission to do its work.

Messers Nelson and Gunn were alleged to have threatened the lives of the Supreme Court judges during a political discussion program on June 29, 2016, a day to the commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Matyres Day in Ghana when three judges were abducted and brutally murdered.

The two threatened to "finish" the judges they accuse do not want peace in the country.

While at it, the host looked on in agreement, and thanked the two panelists for their threatening comments.

Alistair Tairo Nelson is quoted to have said on the programme that he knows the residence of the Judges and threatened to storm their houses to visit mayhem on them.

“I have told you that if this country should collapse, those who caused it will face our wrath. We shall start from their homes," he said.

Fortunately, God has cleared the way for us,” Alistair Nelson said, adding “Those judges who are trying to stoke the fire, I know where all of them live. I know where the judges live in Accra, I know their quarters; I mean the Supreme Court judges.

“I also know the High Court judges. Yes, I am telling you. God has a way of . . . If they like they should bring on something and it will start in their residences; I am telling you, in their neighbourhoods," the Tuesday edition of the Daily Guide reported.
