Prez Mahama Inaugurates Lambussie Community Day SHS

President Mahama will on Friday, July 8, 2016 inaugurate the Lambussie Community Day Senior High School. This will bring to ten (10) the number of such new facilities commissioned so far.

The E-block, like many others which are already in use has well stocked library and science laboratories.

The facility becomes one of the well equipped Lambussie Karni, one of the deprived District in the Upper West region. President John Mahama arrived in Wa on Thursday to embark on the eight-leg of his Accounting to the People Tour.

He paid a courtesy call on the Wa Naa, inspected ongoing expansion works at the Wa Airstrip, ongoing projects at the Wa UDS campus and inaugurated the Upper West regional Library.

The President was  accompanied by Majority Leader, Alban Bagbin, the Upper West Regional Minister, the Former Attorney General and Minister of Jusitice, Betty Mould Iddrisu who is also an NDC Vice Chair person, Minister State in charge of Public-Private Partnerships, Rasheed Pelpuo, Bede Zideng, a former regional Minister and Aspiring MP for Wa Central and other key executives of the party.

The Lambussie Community Day SHS which has the capacity to accommodate 1,500 students will create opportunities for hundreds of JHS graduates who would otherwise have dropped out of school because of access and inability to afford longer distances to facilities elsewhere.

Majority of residents in the Lambissue Karna district, 84.1 percent of households engage in rain-fed agriculture.
