Shai-Osudoku NDC MP Aspirant Hot

Mrs. Linda Obenewaa Ocloo, the newly elected NDC Parliamentary candidate for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region may have an uphill task to overcome before she can file her nomination at the Electoral Commission as new evidence has emerged that she is not a registered voter in the Constituency.

There is an allegation that she is even not a party card bearing member in the constituency; which is also militating against her campaign.

Checks by this paper have revealed that Mrs. Ocloo who contested and won the NDC primary after the untimely demise of her husband who was the NDC Candidate, is a registered voter in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

“Her voter identification details are F031901 and 24666002884 from the Methodist JHS, Antoboase in the Obuasi West Constituency” a source in Obuasi told The New Crusading GUIDE yesterday.

According to the source, “as it stands now, Mrs. Ocloo cannot vote in Shai-Osudoku unless she transfers her vote. However, she may find it difficult to file her nomination at the EC since the transfer of vote would be done after the filing of nominations”.

Mrs. Linda Ocloo was not immediately available for comment on how to surmount the challenges.

Mrs. Linda Ocloo, a Teacher by profession, polled 5,156 votes to win the bid to represent the NDC in this year’s polls while Dr. Michael Kpessa Whyte, polled 3,372 votes.
