Sophia Ackuaku Never Rooted For 'Skirt and Blouse' Voting

Former Assembly Member for Domeabra-Obom, Mr Moses Sokpoli has dismissed a publication which purported that NDC Parliamentary Candidate of Domeabra-Obom, Sophia Karen Ackuaku has rooted for 'Skirt and Blouse' voting in her constituency during a meeting.

Moses, who organised the gathering confirmed to NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie' that, there is no truth in the publication.

Meanwhile, the aspiring NDC MP has emphatically noted in a statement that – “For the records, the chiefs and opinion leaders of Tebu, one of the villages in the constituency invited me to a meeting last week Thursday to discuss how to solve problems affecting them. I dutifully honoured their invitation, and I was supported by the constituency organizer, the constituency women organizer and her deputy, the constituency deputy youth organizer who doubles as assemblyman of the area and other members of my campaign team."

Adding that - “At no point in time during our deliberation was the issue of who to vote for in this year’s election came up for discussion. Is it not ironic, if not baffling, that I will impress on electorates to vote for me and vote against President Mahama in a constituency that has kept faith with the NDC since 2004 when it was created?”

Moses Sokpoli called on the public to disregard the allegation after insisting that - Sophia Karen Ackuaku is keen in campaigning for President John Dramani Mahama to maintain the presidency.

Following Mr Sokpoli's assertions and our own further painstaking investigations, we admit that the story earlier put out on Peacefmonline was false.

Consequently, the story has been pulled down from the website

We use this opportunity to render an unqualified apology to the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Domeabra-Obom constituency for the harm done her reputation in light of our earlier baseless reportage.
