Kojo Bonsu Is The Worst Ever . . . He Has No Mercy - Kumasi Traders Leader

Occupants of the Kumasi Central Market have expressed joy over the resignation of the beleaguered Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Kojo Bonsu.

Their leader, told NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie' that the traders cannot hide their ecstasy over the immediate past KMA boss departure.

According to Andrews Kwoffie, Kojo Bonsu's style of leadership is the “worst” ever in the history of the metropolis – he also described him as a corrupt leader.

“Just wait and see the aftermath of his resignation. Serious issues are going to emanate. He doesn’t respect. He has evicted over a thousand traders from Kejetia, Tafo and Asawase denying them of their source of livelihood. If he’s gone its good news for us, we have had enough of him," he said.

“ . . He has started allocating the uncompleted stores to certain people at a cost of GHC 25,000. How on earth can the ordinary trader acquire one of these stores?” he asked.

Kojo Bonsu tendered in his resignation Tuesday afternoon after holding a meeting with a section of the assembly members to inform them of his decision.

He has recently come under intense pressure from the Kumasi Traditional Council for disrespecting them after he unilaterally removed the Chief of Amoaman, Nana Agyenim Boateng, who was Otumfou’s representative on the board of the Kajetia Market Project, which is currently under construction without informing the king about his action.

His resignation means the KMA boss position is vacant - but the traders insists that his successor must be hardworking and a team player.

“We want someone who will respect us and treat us like human beings. Kojo Bonsu has no mercy,” he fumed.
