Visit Guinea Fowl Factory Karbo Tells Mahama

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on President John Mahama to use his ‘accounting to the people’ tour of the Upper East Region to account for the GH¢200 million allocated to the Savanna Accelerated Development Authority.

“The president must visit the guinea fowl factory which they invested 32 million cedis in and also inspect the afforestation project in the region,” he challenged.

The president’s tour of the region defeats earlier argument by the NPP that Mr. Mahama could not go there because he had not fulfilled his promises to the people of the region.

But in defence, a Deputy Communications Director of the party, Anthony Karbo, in an interview with 3FM, said it is not enough for the president to commission projects on his tour of the region. He assessed that the visit was a hurriedly organized event which will not bring any benefits to the people of the region.
