I Am Overwhelmed With Your Endorsement - President Mahama

President John Mahama has expressed gratitude to all Ghanaians for the overwhelming endorsement of his government’s performance.

He said he was humbled by the support shown by the people during his “Accounting to the People Tour” of the regions.

President Mahama, who expressed the gratitude when he paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area at his Palace at Nalerigu on Wednesday as part of the last leg of his Accounting to the People Tour, said the tour saw many people acknowledging that the government had done a lot to improve their lot.

He said even though many people endorsed the government’s performance, they also asked that it should continue to do more to bring a lot more development projects to their communities.

President Mahama said his administration would continue to focus on developing the capabilities of the people to ensure productive development.

He said a number of number of projects are being undertaken in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions adding that his administration would continue to invest in many aspects of human development including the health sector to bring relief to the people.

He appealed to all to remain peaceful during this election year to promote the development of the country.

He later inaugurated a water project for Kparigu community in the West Mamprusi District, inspected the ongoing construction of the 27 kilometer Walewale Gambaga Road, and cut the sod for the construction of the West Mamprusi District Education Office Complex at Walewale.

Naa Bohagu Mahami Sheriga, Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area, whose address was read on his behalf, expressed gratitude to the government for undertaking a number of development projects in his area and urged all to remain peaceful during this year’s polls.
