Threat To 'Marry Judges' . . . Montie FM 3 Are Political Nonetities - Dela Edem

Dela Edem, a member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the Montie FM panelists who spewed disparaging remarks about Judges and have been cited for contempt are political nonetities.

According to him, the two men; Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako-Gunn do not carry weight when it comes to leading political figures in the country.

Commenting on the behaviour of the contemnors, Dela Edem wondered why prominent personalities who apologized on behalf of the former NPP General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (a.k.a Sir John), the party's National Youth Organizer Sammy Awuku and others to escape prison sentence when they were found in contempt of court, are not doing same for the Montie FM panelists.

He recounted the swiftness with which some lawyers and senior journalists pleaded on behalf of these political figures, and stressed that they should equally do same for the current trio in the contempt case before the Supreme Court.

He also prayed the Justices to temper justice with mercy as they hear the case involving the Muntie FM Host Salifu Maase, a.k.a Mugabe and the two other NDC activists.

" . . I felt senior journalists and journalists who talked on radio, and apologized on behalf for Sir John, Sammy Awuku, Ken Kuranchie and pleaded that they should be pardoned, would have done same (for MontieFM trio). Because these men, they don’t even carry weight. Alistair, he doesn’t carry weight,” Dela Edem said on PeaceFM's 'Kokrokoo' Morning Show.
