Christians Could Become Chiefs Rev. Father

Reverend Father Patrick Offin of the Apam Catholic Church has called on Christians not to distant themselves from the chieftaincy institution and politics. Rev. Fr. Offin urged them to disregard some allegations that chiefs are idolaters whilst politicians preached virtue but practised vice. Rather, the church must encourage their members to veer into those two fields to enable them to use their Christian doctrines to change the wrong perceptions people have about them. He made the suggestion at the celebration of the Catechetical week at the Apam Catholic church on Monday, which is celebrated by Catholics to promote the faith and principles of the church by the lay members. Rev. Fr. Offin said as followers of Christ Christians were believed to have seen the light, which they could illuminate at places where there was darkness. Rev. Fr Jude Eduafo Ampah, Parish Priest asked lay members not to see the propagation of the Word of Christ as the sole responsibility of priests. He asked the congregation to use their lifestyles to support preaching the Word to win more souls for Christ.
