The Asante Akyem North Constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been soiled with human excreta, Joynews has gathered.
The office which is expected to be commissioned some few hours away by the party’s Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is in an embarrasing state.
A source has disclosed to Myjoyonline Austin Brakopowers that Constituency executives have mobilised some of their members to help give the office a clean look ahead of the flagbearer’s visit.
Even though perpetrators of the act are not known, some of the executives are pointing to a case of sabotage by ardent followers of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
These persons they believe are uncomfortable with the visit of Mr Akufo-Addo because they feel his presence will prove damaging for the fortune of President Mahama, the Presidential Candidate of the NDC, in the constituency.
Some residents who spoke to Myjoyonline are also pointing fingers at some insider persons whom they believe are responsible for the act.
They say the cracks within the party in the constituency is to be blamed for the act. They believe one of the feuding parties wants the flagbearer to see the divided front ahead of the November polls.
The executives, they say are not united and they are constantling battling one another.
Mr Akufo-Addo is expected in the Constituency at 12:00p.m. to commission the office, interact with the constituency executives and the people of the town.
