NPP Youth Intensify Effort To Woo Voters

The youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asunafo South Constituency have stepped up their campaign to woo more voters ahead of the general polls.

Calling themselves, “Crusaders”, they had promised to work hard and with zeal to bring the party to power.

At a ceremony held to publicly introduce officers of the group at Kukuom, they said they were determined to invest energy and time to maximize the party’s share of votes in the constituency.

A Deputy Communications Director, Mr. Adomako Baafi, called on voters to reject the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what he said was its poor economic management performance.

This, he said, was evident from the widespread suffering and joblessness.

They should massively vote for change to restore the economy to the path of sustainable growth.

He said the NPP if elected to lead the nation, would pursue carefully-thought out policies to make sure that Ghana did not work for selected few but everybody - to create wealth and lift the people from poverty.

Mr. Emmanuel Sekyi, Secretary of the Group, criticized the government for the withdrawal of teacher and nursing trainee allowances, imposition of high taxes and utility tariffs.

He said this could not continue and that they would do everything to assist the people to make the right judgement on voting day.
