The first Broll Ghana Limited Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono near Tema on Saturday, October 10. Mr Ato Enndman, General Manager of the Celebrity Golf Club, who announced this at Tema on Thursday, said about 120 golfers have been invited to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal competition. He said the competition, which is been sponsored by Broll Limited, managers of the Accra Mall, has Handicap 18 and 24 respectively as the entry requirements, would be played under the local rules of the Club. Among an array of golfers expected to take part in the event are Akwasi Opoku, Joe Ampofo, Joe Ohemeng, Abdul-Aziz Amankwa and Oswald Amuzu. Five prizes would be given in the Men's event while three would be awarded in the Lady's category. There would also be prizes for the 'Nearest to the Pin on Hole 17' and 'Longest Drive on Hole 18'.
