We Will Part Ways With NDC, If . . . Convener For Movement for Mugabe

Convener for the Movement for radio host, Salifu Maase, aka, ‘Mugabe’, Emmanuel Abanga has emphatically stated that his group would part ways with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since President Mahama has refused to exhibit his presidential powers in releasing the jailed Montie trio.

“We are calling on our President, John Dramani Mahama to do his best to get the ‘Montie 3’ out of prison so that they would continue with their hard work towards his victory and the NDC party at large. We as a group of over two thousand (2,000) persons have already taken a decision to part ways with the NDC if President Mahama does not act on this case,” he said.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the group in an interview with Kasapa FM indicated that they would undergo a series of demonstrations against the party and the President for not being active about the issue which have ended their brother, Mugabe and his friends with 4months in prison plus a charge sum of GHC 10,000 each.

“What we want the President and his Party leaders to do even though Supreme Court has given its verdict is to work further more than they are doing now to end the issue at hand, because just condemning the proceedings of the judges as some party leaders are doing now is not what we are demanding from them,” he told Fiifi Banson host of the show.

He added that they know the President has some mandatory powers to get them out of prison but has refused to do so.

According to him there would be no need for them to still remain in a party which cannot defend Mugabe, ‘a stout member of its party’ how much more those who are not near his position.
