 Mrs. Matilda Amissah – Arthur. Wife of the Vice President has donated some food items to the “Ingleshe Alata ” clan at James Town for the celebration of the annual Ga Homowo festival in Accra.

The items were made up of  bags of maize, rice, sugar boxes of cooking oil, assorted drinks and beverages and undisclosed amount of money and were received Nii Afaatei Odai on behalf of the  British Accra at  the James town Mantse Obrempong Nii Kojo Ababio 11.

 In a short colorful ceremony Mrs. Matilda – Amissah – Arthur wished them well in their celebrations and hoped that there would be a peaceful observance of the Homowo celebration as it has always been. She said was doing this in her own way as a mother for all for the chiefs and people of the area and also  join them celebrate the festival in a joyous way

Mrs Amissah promised them that on Monday she would personally join and share time with the people of the area to climax their celebration.

 Nii Afaatei Odoi secretary to the ruling house of Ingleshe Alata expressed gratitude to Mrs. Matilda - Amissah – Arthur wife of the Vice President for her kind gesture.
