Ecobank Launches "Move On Up� Campaign

Executive Director, Customer Banking at Ecobank Ghana, Mr. George Mensah-Asante has launched the bank’s new consumer campaign called “Move On Up” to align with the inspirational ambitions of their customers.

According to him, “Move On Up” campaign demonstrates how Ecobank’s banking solutions standout from its competitors, and helping customers every day, as this campaign will encourage customers to transact business online through mobile and other devices.

Explaining the key pillars that underpin this campaign, Mr. George Mensah-Asante at the launch at Ecobank Head office, said the campaign drives on convenience as customers want the convenience of banking, from being able to pay with an Ecobank card, to doing financial transactions on their mobile phones, over the internet, ATMs, and point of sale terminals.

He explained the second pillar to be relevance; thus Ecobank’s “Move On Up” campaign creates personal banking solutions that relevant to its customers and to suit their lifestyles. He added that the third pillar is choice, as with their unrivalled Pan-African platform across 36 markets in Africa, Ecobank provides its customers with the widest access to products and services than any other bank.

He reiterated that the vision of Ecobank in the new “Move On Up” campaign is to become the undisputed preferred choice for banking not just in Ghana but throughout Africa.

“And we are on the right path. At the recent Euromoney Awards held in London, Ecobank won the ‘Best Bank in Ghana’. This is credit to the work of all our colleagues across Ghana; we also won the Best Retail Bank in Ghana at the Asian Banker Awards”, he averred.

Commenting at the launch of Ecobank’s “Move On Up” campaign, the Acting Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana, Morgan Asiedu said that campaign came about because true banking is not just about transactions.

He maintained that “Move On Up” campaign highlights on the mission of Ecobank to enable people to realise their dreams; thus, so much has changed about banking as the great mega-trend in Africa is about ‘straight to mobile.’

“Our sons and daughters are banking online and on their mobiles. For them, it is not about ‘where you go, but what you do.’
Customers throughout our continent are upwardly mobile- and have many more opportunities to move ahead in life; Move On Up captures this enormous potential”, he explained.

“This will help fuel economies and businesses for our young, families and entrepreneurs. That is why at Ecobank, we are responding to this potential...This Move On Up campaign is about how Ecobank is delivering positive value for stakeholders, for the communities we work in and for individual customers”, he stressed.
