West Ham chief delighted with Ayew acquisition

The Hammers' chairman is happy to have secured the services of the Ghana international.

West Ham United joint-chairman David Sullivan is excited with his cub's signing of winger Andre Ayew.

The 26-year-old completed a £20.5 million move to the Hammers from fellow Premier League side Swansea on Monday, after months of intense speculations.

The Ghanaian has been assigned the No.20 jersey.

"Andre is a great player," Sullivan told the club's official website.

"He was Swansea's leading goalscorer last season.

"He can play all four positions across the frontline, and last season when he played as a striker, he scored six goals in eight games.

"We have been negotiating with Swansea for over three weeks and are delighted to have secured his signature.”

Ayew netted 12 goals in 34 league appearances for Swansea last season, having joined the Jack Army from French club Marseille last summer.
