Daasebre Gyamenah To Be Buried On October 14

The One-week celebration of highlife singer Daasebre Gyamenah is happening today, August 12 at the forecourt of Omanhene Palace in Koforidua.

Family of the late has announced that the musician who became very popular for his debut Kokooko which featured Lord Kenya will be buried on October 14 in Koforidua.

Kofi Siaw who spoke to Hitz FM news disclosed that the remains of Daasebre Gyamenah would be given to the Muslim community to perform their right before he is buried on October 14.

“As part of the burial activities, the family has decided that they will release the remains of Daasebre Gyamenah to the Muslim people. Before he died, he was a Muslim not by birth but he decided to convert to Muslim when he grew up so they have decided to release the body to the Muslim people to perform all the rights but as part of the tradition of New Juaben, they are going to lay Daasebre at Koforidua for everyone to see what is happening.”

Known personalities who are in Koforidua to honour the memory of Daasebre Gyamenah are Akosua Agyapong, Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy and many others.
