A 50 year-old man, Yaw Ofori, shocked residents of Abuakwa in the Ashanti Region when he poured hot soup on his wife of several years whom he suspects was dating a young man in the area.

The accused who is currently in police custody reportedly bathed his wife with the soup which at the time was on fire, when an argument ensued between both of them him over her infidelity.

His wife, Akosua Attaa 42 years, in the process sustained severe injuries on her body following which she was rushed to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The Abuakwa Police Commander, ASP Joseph Nyaaba who confirmed the incident in an interview with Kasapa News stated that his outfit has taken over the matter and will arraign Yaw Ofori before court soon to face the law for his dastardly act on his wife.
