Girl, 13, Forced To Drink Urine By 72-Yr-Old Woman

A seventy two-year-old woman is currently in the grips of the Tema Regional Police Command, for forcing her 13-year-old house girl, to drink 1.5 litres of her own urine.

The suspect, Madam Emma Boahene, who hails from Sunyani, and living with the 13-year-old girl, name withheld, at her Tema Community 9 residence, is currently assisting the police in their investigations into circumstances which made her to force the girl to drink her own urine.

According to the Tema Regional Police Command, who confirmed the story to Today, Madam Boahene has been charged with the offence of causing emotional and psychological torture to the 13-year-old girl.

However, Today gathered that Madam Boahene has, on countless occasions, warned the victim to urinate outside during the night or dawn but all her warnings fell on deaf ears.

That situation, according to some residents, enraged the suspect, who forcibly asked the young girl to drink the 1.5 litres of her urine.

The residents told Today that Madam Boahene impressed upon the little girl to urinate into a container the night before Friday, 12 August, 2016.

It was after this that she compelled the little girl to drink her own urine.

In her caution statement to the police, the suspect said the victim for some time now has been urinating into a container in their room in the night but fails to empty it in the morning.

She further explained that the urine drunk by the victim was what she (the victim) had excreted into the bottle during the previous night and had refused to pour it away the next morning.

But the victim in a sharp rebuttal denied the allegation and ownership of the urine in the bottle which she was forced to drink.

Further investigations revealed that the suspect also assaulted the helpless house help heavily before she forced her (the victim) to drink that quantity of urine.

According to investigations, the victim after her ordeal was sent by Madam Boahene to the market to buy some foodstuff without bathing.

The wailing and the bad odour that emanated from the victim drew the attention from the public. A Good Samaritan who was touched by her ordeal helped her to lodge a complaint at the Tema Community 1 Police Station.

That led to the arrest of Madam Boahene.

However, the suspect after her statement admitted coercing the victim to drink the urine to serve as a deterrent.

Madam Boahene has been granted bail while the police continue with their investigations.

Meanwhile, the victim has been treated and discharged at the Tema General Hospital.
