Asamoah Plays Full Throttle For Juventus In Serie A Opener

Kwadwo Asamoah announced his return to top form by playing the entire duration in champions Juventus 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the Serie A on Saturday night.

The Ghana international had battled injuries the past two seasons but showed good form in the off season.

Head coach Max Allegri did not baulk to hand him a starting in a five-man midfield comprising Dani Alves, Khedira, Lemina, and Alex Sandro.

Asamoah found Khedira in acres of space on the penalty spot and when his effort was deflected, substitute Gonzalo Higuain pounced to turn in the rebound from the tightest of angles.

Giorgio Chiellini provided an unexpected cross for a powerful Khedira header to break the deadlock.

Cristian Tello got away from Brazilian Alex Sandro to force a corner, then the latter lost Kalinic for a powerful header on the resulting set play for the equalizer.
