The king of social responsibilities and Presidential Award Winner, Obour is taking his Resurrection concert beyond the shores of Ghana. Obour who won the Grand Medal at the National Honors� Awards was the only hip-life musician in that category is set to perform in both Maryland and New York on the 17th and the 30th of October respectively. Obour, Ghana�s sensational hiplife musician, who has been in the music business in Ghana for a while, has gained so much prominence and recognition not only in the country of his origin but also on the entire African continent and the world as whole. Recently, Obour and Readwide launched his latest project dubbed �Ghana reads library project� which is aimed at encouraging reading amongst Ghanaian youth by building library across the ten regions of Ghana coupled with the release of his latest album. Critically and vigilantly looking at the music industry, he see some flaws in the business and therefore he wants to embark on a campaign that will make music lovers desist from some corrupt practice, he is entrenched to redeem the image of Ghanaian music which is on a decline hence the need for Resurrection Concert. This concert is designed to sensitize people on the behaviors that affect the music industry. The maiden of this concert was held in Accra at the National theatre to officially launch the task. The concert was graced by musicians from all over the country, in participation was Wutah, K. K. Fosu, Okyeame Kwame, Asem, Richie, Da Bradez, Tinny, sensational Sherifa Gunu and many more. Also in attendance were journalists, politicians and corporate organizations to grace the occasion. The show was his greatest performance ever witnessed and interviewing the audience after the show they expressed good feelings that they got their money�s worth. Interviewing Obour before this publication, we asked him �what new thing is he going to give when he performs to the Ghanaian community in New York and Maryland�. He said after the show in Accra he now thinks he could do even better. Obour also said he was going to donate half of his remuneration of the concert to build community library in remote areas in Ghana. When asked which musicians are accompanying him with his tour to the US, he mentioned names like K. K. Fosu, D Flex, Halleluya Voices and many more. In his final words he comments that other musician should join forces to help salvage the music industry.
