Adam Kwarasey Fails To Make A Strong Claim For Black Stars NO.1 Spot

Norway-based goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey finally got his shot to make a strong claim for the number one position in the Black Stars but ended up just doing enough to score an average mark.

The former Portland Timbers man was given the nod to start against the Golden Eagles of Russia and conceded a soft goal through his legs on the day in Moscow.

Kwarasey’ recovery was very good though as he recovered from the set-back to pull off some good saves. He was however bailed out by John Boye on a number of occasions with goal line clearances on two occasions.

With Ghana set to begin the World Cup qualifiers against Uganda next month it is uncertain on who Grant will choose as his number one for the qualification series.

Razak who has been the number one for the last two years has come under hard criticism while experienced Fatau Dauda looks to be falling down the pecking order.
