Mr. Africanus Mensah, a businessman has presented a cheque for 1,000 Ghana cedis to Mercy Foundation International, a non-governmental organisation. Mercy Foundation is dedicated to the course of street and abused children, victims of domestic violence and trafficked children among others. Mr. Mensah said "I have observed from a distance, the work of the foundation over the years and I am personally touched by the founder's vision to provide the vulnerable in society with hope." He said the donation formed part of initiatives he had taken to help the foundation function effectively and called on others to assist. Pastor Oliver Osei-Gerning, Director and Founder of the NGO, expressed his gratitude to Mr Mensah for the donation.
