Wa All Stars Win Ghana Premier League Title

The Premier League title race is done and Wa All Stars have won the championship for the first time in their history.

WA All Stars capitalized on home advantage to clinch all three points as they defeated Aduana Stars 2-1 at the Malik Jabir park in WA.

Wa All Stars were lying second on the league table on goal difference before the game, although they had the same number of points, 48, with Aduana.

Accra Hearts of Oak dropped valuable points after losing 0-1 to Medeama a the Accra Sports Stadium. Kwesi Donsu scored the only goal for the visitors.
 
Fredrick Boateng’s lone strike for Inter-Allies was enough to hand them a 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals at the Tema Park.

At the Obuasi Lane Clay Stadium, defending Champions Ashanti Gold came from behind to beat Kotoko 5-3.  Emmanuel Osei Baffour, Shafiu Mumuni Dauda Mohammed, and Amos Addai were on target for AshGold with Eric Donkor, Obed Owusu and Kwame Boateng getting the goals for Kotoko.

Paul De Vries Asare, Seidu Alhassan were on target for WA All Stars whilst Bright Adjei got the consolation for Aduana.

Abednego Tetteh and Emmanuel Eli Keke scored for Bechem United and Dreams FC respectively as they game ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the Bechem Park.

Two goals from Bright Lukeman and a goal each by  Nicholas Gyan, Stephen Bentil and Joseph Esso saw Ebusua Dwarfs routing over New Edubiase at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast. Felix Afriyie got the consolation for Edubiase.

Ibrahim Abukari’s lone strike for WAFA gave them a 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea the Sogokope Park.

Fatawu Abdulman scored twice to help Techiman City defeat Sekondi Hasaacas at the Amayaw Ekumfi.
