Politicians Asked To Give Students Peace To Learn

Mr Shaheed Ahmed, Board Member of Casbe International School, has reminded politicians that they owe it as a duty to create a peaceful and conducive environment for students to learn.

He said as Ghanaians prepared for the December general election, it behoves on stakeholders, especially political players to be circumspect in their utterances and campaign activities in order not to throw the nation into chaos to disturb the education of the students.

Mr Ahmed gave the reminder in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the school’s premises in Sunyani.

He said: “Our current crop of leaders could not have rose to the top if the nation had experienced political upheavals, so it is fair that they ensure same sound environment for our future leaders to learn and become responsible citizens to take the mantle.

“Posterity will not judge us right if we fail in this direction.”

Mr Ahmed urged parents to spend time to monitor and supervise their children’s studies at home while fulfilling their financial obligations for the provision of quality education.

He advised students to be disciplined and take their studies at home and school seriously, to achieve greater academic success to meet the local and the global markets.

The Board member paid tribute to the Chief Executive Officer of the School, Mr Michael Bossman, for his high sense of patriotism by providing affordable and quality education for the children of Brong Ahafo and beyond.
