YNP-GH Condemn Violence Over Voter Transfer Exercise At Asunafo South

The incidence that occurred at the Asunafo South district electoral commission's office is uncalled for in this democratic era, where some party faithfuls ransacked the electoral commission's office to destroy some equipments in their premises.

Political powers cannot be achieved through violence, however, it can be acheived when the political parties regulate the activities of their followers. Youth Network for Peace-Ghana (YNP-GH) believes that Ghana's peace and progress should not be derailed by electioneering tensions.

Therefore, YNP-GH condemns the conflict between both parties at Asunafo South constituency, and cautions the parliamentary leaders of the two main political parties to exhibit an exemplary leadership for the youth to emulate. They should come out clearly with their policies, plans, programmes and projects for the constituency. These would enable the electorates to vote base on what they hear, and not through violent means.

YNP-GH uses this platform to inform the Ghana Police Service that, the Asunafo South constituency should be considered as one of their flash point during the 2016 presidential and parlimentary elections.

We also call on the youth in Asunafo South to set themselves apart from all acts of violence that could lead to pandemonium in the area.

Say no to violence, say no to politics of insults and say yes to peaceful election.
