Two persons escaped death at Dzorwulu Junction in Accra after their vehicle caught fire on Thursday.

The survivors were on a Sasso distribution van when a fuel tanker heading from the Legon road towards Lapaz collided with it due to brake failure.

The van immediately caught fire but the tanker driver as well as the two persons sped off for their lives.

Drivers whose vehicles were close to the incident scene either abandoned their vehicles or turn around to safety.

Pedestrians gape at the incident with utter shock.

It reportedly took close to 30 minutes for the Fire Service to arrive at the scene but by then the van had already burnt beyond recognition.
