I Will Hang My Boot For Good If I Get A Potential Striker Godwin Attram

Olympics returned to the premier league after a hard fought victory to beat Tudu Mighty Jets 2-1 to book a qualification to Ghana’s top flight league.

Midfield king who doubles as head coach for the club Godwin Attram, registered as a player before a final decision from the clubs’ board to turn him into coach of the club. Attram played couple of games for the wonder club in the national division one league.

He guided the team to return to the top flight league of Ghana and he is not looking back. He revealed to peacefmonline.com that he intends to quit football for good if he is able to get a goal poacher for the club. He is of the believe that, Gt. Olympics has a formable defense and needs to strengthen the upfront as they return to the premier league.

He disclosed this in an interview with Peace Power Sports, and looking for a fresh start in the Ghana Premier League with no return to the lower division. He further, according to him, the club has suffered a lot especially playing in the lower division. Attram, together with former number black stars’ goalie Richard Kingsley, Osei Boateng, and Dan Quaye, all registered with the club before they were relegated but still has two of their experienced players in the person of goalkeeper Osei Boateng and Dan Quaye, has been exceptional for the club after playing almost all of the 30 leagues games. Both players are so dedicated and professional for the club throughout the season.

“I would want to commend the playing body, the board and especially Dan Quaye who has been so exceptional to the club despite his age and played his heart out for the club.” He was a pillar to the club and ensured Olympics returned to play in the top flight league.” I vote Dan Quaye as the best player in the division one despite his age.” He said.

“Playing at the Division One is a hell and the club would not want to go back.” I will employ leaders of the club to work harder to push the club to the top and urged that all supporters of the club will continue to rally support for the club and put up a good supporting base when they start playing their game in the premier league in the coming season.” He stated.

“Olympics is a new team now, believe me a lot of things that I have outlined for the club will come to fruition if the board help to push it which I believe they have and accepted my plans for the club.” I have been so loyal to the club and they have been so loyal to me, since starting my career as a player to the wonder club.”

“I believe every problem that led to the club going to the lower division will be solved because playing in the division one is a hell as a team plays 30 solid matches instead of the normal games where you play zonal middle league but rather full league matches from the previous games and the fact that Olympics wasted a lot of money to travel for all their matches, hence, let anything repeat itself”. He insisted.

The club return to the top flight on Sunday after beating Mighty Jets 2-1 on the road to earn the sole qualification slot from zone III with one match to spare. The wonder club did that by coming from behind to secure victory in Teshie to tightened their grip at the top of the pool which also had Okyeman Planners and Heart of Lions breathing down the neck.

Olympics will be making a quick return to the elite division after just a season in the second-tier league.
He commended Oti Akenteng, Coach Afranie, Didi Dramani and all members who helped the club to return to the top flight league
