No Gov't Will Ever Dole Out Cash For Your Upkeep - Prez Mahama

President John Mahama on Friday said Ghanaians must work hard to earn a living than expecting government to dole out cash to them.

"We have said we will put money in your pockets, but Let me tell you, no government would ever dash out cash for your upkeep. the Bible even speaks against that. In the Bible, God told Adam and Eve to work hard before they ate, so you have to work before you get money into your pockets."

Speaking at rallies at Sampa and Drobo in the Jaman North and South districts respectively as part of his four-day campaign tour of the Brong Ahafo Region, President Mahama further added that "putting money in your pockets mean equipping you to earn a living. That is why my government has established Teacher and Nurses Trainee colleges across the country so those who complete such schools can get jobs and get money to cater for their families."

He however reiterated his government’s desire to prioritize technical and vocational education should he win a second term in office.

According to him, there is a huge demand for skilled manpower, hence the need to train more people to utilize their expertise in the various sectors of the economy.

" All these steps are what will put money into your pockets in my next term', he stated.
