A group Becky Babes, which supports the wife of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Rebecca Akufo-Addo in the ongoing campaign, landed at Sege in the Greater Accra Region last week.
One of the organizers of the exercise simply called Mimi said they were astonished at the wonderful reception accorded them when they got to the various residences in a portion of the constituency known to be NDC strongholds.
Many of the residents told them that they had already decided to vote against the NDC come December 7.
They expressed regrets that they did otherwise in the previous elections.
The people of Sege, Mimi said, are crying for change.
“They are calling on Nana Addo and NPP to come and deliver them from the untold hardship the NDC administration has imposed on them.”
They were excited upon discovering that Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo had asked Becky’s babes to present some clothes, shoes and bags to them.
They received the gifts and expressed profound gratitude to Mrs. Akufo Addo. “We, the people of Sege, are going to vote massively for Nana Addo and the NPP parliamentary candidate,” they added.
