Nakpanduri Chief Prays For President Mahama

Chief David M. Kansuk, Chief of Nakpanduri says it’s his hope and prayer that the good Lord who enskins chiefs, would do same for President John Dramani Mahama, his party and open the doors of the Flagstaff House for them again in 2017.

He made the stamens when the Vice President kwesi Amisah -Arthur called on him at his palace in Nyanpanduri  in the Bunkprugu constituency on his day two tour as part of his visit to the Northern Region.

 The chief described the visit by Vice President kwesi Amissah- Arthur as historic, because since 1996 as a chief he has never received a vice presidential candidate at his palace.   

He said his speech would be meaningless if he does not acknowledge the numerous developmental projects that the NDC has brought to his area.

Chief David M Kansuk said he must emphatically state that the NDC has done well and deserved to be given another mandate to continue their good works.

He noted that the construction of number of school buildings in his area, provision of electricity to Nakpanduri, upgrading of their SHS to a boarding status and the provision of buses to the secondary school were notable things the NDC has done for them.

Chief David M Kansuk said he was happy to inform the vice president that there was total peace between Bimobas and Kokumbas and this has happened under the tenure of the NDC government.

On his part the Vice President thanked the chief for welcoming them to his palace and also thanked them for living in peace.

He said President Mahama has always had the wellbeing of Ghanaians at heart and will work tirelessly to keep transforming lives under the ‘Better Ghana Agenda.’

“In President John Mahama, we have a leader who is working in the interest of our generation and future generations,” the Vice President said.

Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur also revealed to the chiefs that he has visited their respective palaces to seek their blessings as he enters their area to campaign.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said the peaceful and accommodating nature of President Mahama has made the NDC more united than ever before.

He said it is in the same manner that he has been able to keep Ghana united, stable and peaceful. These traits according to the vice president are key for the development of Ghana.

He said development is a systematic process and government has to ensure that every part of the country gets part of the national cake.

The Vice President used the opportunity to also introduce the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area Antony Gingon to them to them. He called on them to vote massively for him and President Mahama so that he would complement the efforts of President Mahama in 2017.
